Design Intent
A modern tropical home defined by openness and light, where courtyards shape the spatial experience and maintain a constant connection with nature.
Development
The process started with understanding how the client wanted to live. They were clear about wanting an open, light-filled home with a courtyard and a strong connection to nature, while still keeping a modern character. We spent time studying the site and climate, making sure the house would feel comfortable, well-lit, and naturally ventilated throughout the day.
From there, the design grew around the courtyard, shaping the spaces to feel open and connected rather than enclosed. Rooms were arranged to bring in light and air, with easy transitions between inside and outside. The material palette was kept simple and natural, allowing the house to feel warm, calm, and grounded while still holding a clean, modern expression.
Outcome
A home that feels simple, comfortable, and connected—balancing modern living with a natural, tropical character.
